About Institute

It is our conviction that a ship is only as good as the crew who sail
her and accordingly, Samundra Institute of Maritime Studies (SIMS) was
established with an aim at developing a pool of high caliber seafarers
trained at all levels to work in the increasingly demanding shipping industry.

Both the Post-Sea Facility in Mumbai and the Pre-Sea Training Campus in Lonavala
are committed to providing an outstanding maritime training opportunity to
Indians that is over and above the international mandatory standards.
