Home Page: This is the main landing page. This page shows the All listed companies on portal and Only Platinum Training Institutes. You can get the Various news and other information from this page.
Sea jobs Page: This page shows all the Companies listed and list of all job offering rank wise. Functioning of this page is similar to Home Page.
Shore Job Page: This page only shows the Shore jobs listing by various companies.
Training: Here all the Maritime Training institutes and the training they offer are listed.

I am a seafarer, what is there for me in Ourseaworld.com?

How to register with ourseaworld.com?
You can register yourself by Clicking on to Login Register and following the flow. You need valid Email id for registering.
How can I create my page on ourseaworld.com?
After you have registered, you will be directed to your Dashboard. Here we encourage you to complete the resume. 1st time this will be a time-consuming exercise, but after that you will be happy that it was worth spending time. The compulsory fields are carefully selected and are kept to only minimum.
Why my Profile is showing not Authorized.
As this is a job site and we need to keep fake profiles away, you must attach copy of Passport and CDC showing your name and date of birth. These copies to be uploaded in relevant section of your profile. Your Profile will become active only after we verify the documents. This is One-time exercise only.
Why I am not able to apply to company?
As you are looking for job, it is expected that you provide minimum compulsory information in your resume which is presented to the company that you are applying. In case you have not filled the compulsory fields marked with (Red Astrick), or if the compulsory fields data is expired, system will not allow you to apply for Job. Similarly, your resume will not be visible to the employers. This is to safeguard your professionalism. You can see the list of incomplete fields in red font, in the front page of resume builder.
How do I know if my Resume is visible to the Employers?
In the dashboard, in the 1st page of your resume preparation, you can see the radio button about your Resume display where you can control the visibility of your resume. You will also get notification about the visibility of your resume.
Will my resume be visible forever?
When you click ‘Do You want to apply for job’ and provide your date of availability, your resume will be visible to companies as follows;
Availability Date + 30 days.
After this time your resume will not be visible to any company.
Example: You click ‘Do You want to apply for job’ today and Your availability date is 30 days from today, so your resume will be visible from today until next 60 days. After that you will get notification and resume will not be visible to any company.
You may change the availability date and resume will become visible again. This is done so that you do not get disturbed unnecessary even after you have secured job.
What happens when I apply to company directly?
Your CV is sent directly to Company for view. Company gets a notification about new application. The Recruitment department (or similar) of company views the CV and contact you accordingly.
In case you wish to send to company on their email id directly, then you need to download resume on your computer and send it as attachment from your personal email.
Can Ourseaworld.com assist me to fill the resume?
Although such service is not available, however we can assist you to update your resume if you are facing any issues, technical or otherwise.
I have worked on certain type of ship and same type of ship is not listed?
The list provided is very exhaustive, we suggest to mention the broad category of vessel. At the same time please send us the feedback, and we will add that vessel in database. The information of updated database will be given to you on your registered email.
I have worked in a rank and it is not listed, how to proceed?
The list provided is very exhaustive, we suggest to mention the nearest standard Rank. At the same time please send us the feedback, and we will add that Rank in database. The information of updated database will be given to you on your registered email. E.g. you have worked as Project Engineer, and it is between 3rd Eng. and 2nd Eng., we suggest you mention 2nd Engineer, similarly You have worked as Cargo officer which is between 2nd Officer and Chief Officer, and we suggest you mention Chief officer.
How many companies I can apply directly?
Through portal you can apply to maximum 5 companies in a day.
I have forgotten passwords/username.
Please follow the flow for forgotten password. You may also send us a mail from your registered email id to reset your password, and we will do the needful.
I forgot to mention one vessel sea time records, how can I insert it.
You can click ‘add more’ and fill all details. System is configured to show all sea time in chronological order based on your CDC sign on date, latest being on top. Therefore, once you refresh it, system will adjust automatically.
How can I download my Resume?
You can download resume in three ways;
How can I see resume of other candidates?
We regret, you are not authorized to see the resume of other candidates. This is to keep the privacy of all candidates. Only paid subscribers are authorized to view the resume.
How much space I have on portal to upload my documents?
We give you 50 MB of space free of cost. And in our experience, this is good enough space for uploading all kind of documents. We request you to keep the size of document medium.
Does Ourseaworld.com charges for any services to seafarers?
We do not charge anything to seafarers. All services provided on this portal are free of cost. However, in case you wish to purchase space on portal to upload your documents over and above the prescribed limit, we may charge nominal fee for same.
How can I delete my Page from Ourseaworld.com?
We do not recommend any seafarer to do such as the portal is made to serve you for all your professional needs. However, in rare case if you wish, then You have to write us mail for such request and we will delete your page. However please remember that even your page is deleted, all your information if downloaded by various companies who are subscribers will remain with them and Ourseaworld.com does not control them to act as per our wish.
How can I contact Ourseaworld.com for complaints, feedbacks, questions and help?

We are new to portal, explain all the Tabs in Company page?
Welcome!!!
Following is the flow in importance wise;
Once You log in (As Admin) using the credentials provided to you, you will be in your company Page, to setup company profile, following are the steps;
Tab ‘Edit Profile’ – One-time exercise and if any changes in company Contact Details.
Tab ‘Users’ – Site authorises you to create two more login ID with lesser rights. Here you as Admin can set up the two log-in ID and set preferences. This is additional feature provided by Ourseaworld.com.
Tab ‘Post Sea Jobs’ – In this section you can upload your detailed requirements of seafarers. The basic concept used here is that You chose a particular type of vessel and list all jobs on that type of vessels, and repeat the process. You can edit Job, however the Ship Type fields cannot be changed in edit job, because new ship type means new job posting.
For Regular Job listings there are NIL restrictions on number of jobs being posted. The Hot job posting has restrictions on display days. Basic concept used here is that HOT jobs are only displayed if there is actually an emergency and not otherwise.
Tab ‘Post Shore Jobs’ - Here you can post the shore job requirements. These will be displayed in the Shore Job page of the website. Basic concept used is that Company can post Shore Job requirements, however cannot see any candidates. All candidates can directly apply to company, or Ourseaworld.com can act as mid-Agency and contact candidates and if they are interested resume will be sent to you.
Tab ‘Search Candidates’-This is a tab where you will search seafarers who are looking for jobs. You can always view important credentials of candidates prior downloading the resume.
Tab ‘Direct Applied Candidates’ – If any seafarer has applied to you directly, his resume will appear in this section. You can always view important credentials of candidates prior downloading the resume.
Tab ‘Manage Sea Candidates’- All your downloaded resumes will appear in this section.
Tab ‘Advertise with us’ – This is a tab given in case you wish to advertise something special in a different way, which include the special banners and the main Ourseaworld.com page full screen advertisement.
Tab “Your Subscription Plan’ – This page shows your plan and various options. This page also gives you information about your remaining credits.
Tab ‘Logout’ – In case you wish to log out.
We have put up a Hot Job Vacancy, how will this be shown to seafarers?
Following ways;
We have vacancy on special type of vessel and for special rank. How can we add the new type of ship and rank.
Please contact us for adding any special rank or vessel.
How can we post a Shore Job?
In the company page, a separate tab Manage Shore Jobs is provided, you may fill all details and vacancy will be shown in the site for same.
We cannot see the list of available Shore Job candidates.
The Shore Job candidates list is hidden and cannot be seen by any company. Once You put up a vacancy, we contact the candidates who matches your needs, or others who have shown interest, and then the CV’s are shared with you.
